DEVINE COLOR
COLOR THERAPY FROM THE NORTHWEST
PAINT THAT GOES ON LIKE YOGURT. LOOKS LIKE CHIFFON.
1999-2018

Devine Color, Color Therapy From The Northwest, with Paint That Went On Like Yogurt and Looked Like Chiffon, passed on quietly in 2018, following its purchase by Valspar Paint in 2009, followed by the acquisition of both Valspar Paint and Devine Color by Sherwin Williams in 2018. Born in 1998 to a loving mother, Gretchen Schauffler, Devine Paint began a humble life as a colorful custom palette of wall paint sold out of the trunk of her mother's car. Beloved by all who met her, Devine quickly became a rising star. The paint line transformed thousands of people’s lives with color, bringing out the best in every environment. These colorful experiences and deep satisfaction made Devine Color an iconic brand, a cult classic, and the muse for other paint lines such as Benjamin Moore’s “Aura”.  Devine Color is survived by her family, designers, painters, paint store owners, homeowners, and the children who grew up in homes coated in her illustrious paint and enveloping sense of colorful comfort.

For those who continue to seek the kind of magic Devine left behind, despair not.
